A native of Americus, GA, Ashley has lived in Columbus for 19 years. In 1988, after completing a BS at the University of Georgia in Interior Design, she worked in the design field for several years before going into pharmaceutical sales.
Ashley is married to Neill Hatcher (pictured here with Ashley), a Senior VP at CB&T. They have 2 children. Bo (14) and Nancy (12) both attend St Luke Middle School.
In 2005, she began working on an invention that she thought would benefit many people: a non slip dinner tray which she named, Lappers®. She designed these functional trays, applied for and received 3 different patents in the US and world, had the name Lappers trademarked, and started Archer Innovations.
The Lappers® are currently sold in 900 stores around the country, available in several catalogs, and on numerous on line sites. They have appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, and HGTV’s “I Want That”. The Lappers® have also been featured in many magazines including ForbesLife, Rachael Ray’s “FAVES”, Coastal Living, Family Circle, Georgia Trend, Arts and Decorative Magazine, and many other publications, and she has had 3 “Sell Out” appearances on QVC.
Ashley has recently merged Archer Innovations with CamoVision of Georgia, and together they have been able to introduce collegiate Lappers to market and increase the presence of her fun, yet functional trays.
